Early Life and Education
Kamini Ratan Chauhan was born on October 20, 1987, in Uttar Pradesh, India. She completed her schooling from St. Mary’s Academy in Saharanpur. After that, she went on to pursue a Btech degree in Civil Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology, Roorkee. Later, she also pursued a Masters’s degree in Public Policy and Management from IIM, Bangalore.

After completing her studies, Kamini Ratan Chauhan joined the Indian Administrative Service (IAS) in 2012. She started her career as an Assistant Collector in Gonda district of Uttar Pradesh. In 2014, Kamini Ratan Chauhan was appointed as the Sub-Divisional Magistrate of Sadar, Lucknow, where she worked tirelessly to bring positive changes in the functioning of the local administration. Under her leadership, the district witnessed a substantial increase in the number of digital services, the launch of new welfare schemes, and improved law and order.
