We made this record with eight inputs and a laptop in Stefan’s basement. This album took us all back to sort of where we started, playing songs with our friends in our parents’ basements, except now the basements were our own, and we could actually manage to play an entire song without having to stop mid verse and run over to our song book. The Basement Tapes is our way of bringing ourselves full circle. Each guy in Wiredogs is going through a pretty transitional period, and there’s a lot of starting over going on, so this record is a perfect reflection of where we are right now as a band and individuals.
